About Yoga Pranayama
Pranayama
is the fourth stage in Patanjali's eight stage yoga
discipline. A critical component of yoga asana and
meditation,
mastery of pranayama leads to controlling life-force energy
and the flow of prana throughout the network of nadis
(meridians).
You will learn how to:
-
Come into the present moment by using the breath to
center the body and mind.
-
Enable prana to flow more freely by removing prana
restrictions and blocks.
-
Increase prana flow
and open chakras with Kriya
and other pranayama techniques.
-
Use
pranayama skills to strengthen your asana and
meditation practice.
-
Apply pranayama to gentle, moderate, or vigorous
levels of yoga practice.
